Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do.

The legal terms that govern The Fort Carson Standard, Recon Real Estate platforms, the PCS Dashboard, Scout AI, and Boots on the Ground. Written to be readable. Last updated May 2026.

Privacy Policy

What we collect, and what we do with it.

This Privacy Policy applies to The Fort Carson Standard (the website you are reading), the Recon PCS Dashboard, the Scout AI assistant, and the Boots on the Ground volunteer network. All are operated by Recon Real Estate, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company.

We collect three categories of information.

Information you give us directly. When you book a Strategy Session, submit a Boots support request, sign in to the PCS Dashboard, or ask Scout a question, you may share your name, email address, phone number, military status, approximate arrival timeline, and the questions or information you choose to send. We collect this so we can actually respond to you.

Information we collect automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our pages — which neighborhoods get read, which checklists get used, which content needs improvement. This includes standard analytics data: pages visited, time on page, referring source, approximate location based on IP address, device and browser type, and anonymized event data. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

Information from cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies for analytics, basic site functionality, and the magic-link authentication used by the PCS Dashboard. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features will stop working if you do.

How We Use It

What we do with what we collect.

We use the information we collect for clearly bounded purposes:

To respond to you. If you send us a question, book a session, or sign in to the PCS Dashboard, we use your contact information to respond. That is the obvious use.

To route Boots requests. When you submit a Boots on the Ground support request, your question and contact information are shared with the specific vetted volunteer best positioned to answer. That volunteer is bound by the network's confidentiality expectations. Your information is not shared more broadly.

To improve the Standard. We use anonymized analytics data to understand which content is useful and which content needs work. We do not sell analytics data and we do not share it with third-party advertisers.

To operate the PCS Dashboard. Your magic-link email is used to authenticate you. Your checklist progress is stored so you can resume across devices. Your saved data is yours.

To comply with legal obligations. If we are required by law, court order, or government regulation to disclose information, we will. We will tell you about it when we are legally permitted to do so.

What We Do Not Do

Lines we do not cross.

We do not sell your information.

We do not share your contact information with real estate agents, lenders, title companies, insurance providers, or other commercial third parties without your explicit consent. Sponsor section integrations in the PCS Dashboard are presented as options, not pipelines — your information goes to a sponsor only when you choose to contact them directly.

We do not route Boots on the Ground submissions into marketing systems. Boots requests stay inside Recon coordination and the assigned volunteer.

We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. Scout AI is operated under a contractual arrangement with our AI provider that prohibits the use of your conversations for general model training.

We do not display third-party advertising on The Fort Carson Standard.

Your Rights

Access, correction, and deletion.

You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to correct that information if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it.

To make any of those requests, email privacy@thefortcarsonstandard.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request to delete data.

Some data is required to operate services you are actively using (for example, your email is required to sign in to the PCS Dashboard). Deleting required data may mean we can no longer provide that service to you.

We retain analytics data for the standard GA4 retention period. We retain Boots submissions for as long as the network coordination requires, typically the duration of your active engagement plus a reasonable period after.

If you are a California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, or Utah resident, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. Contact us at the email above and we will honor those rights.
